Outing to MayTown Kids Cafe
At La Petite Ecole Hanoi, we believe that some of the most valuable learning experiences happen beyond the classroom. By exploring new environments, children develop curiosity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Recently, our students enjoyed a special school outing in Hanoi to MâyTown Kids Cafe, a unique play space often described as a "city in the clouds." More than just a fun day out, the visit offered rich opportunities for experiential learning through exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
Discovering the World Through Role Play
Throughout the day, children immersed themselves in a variety of role play activities. Some became mini chefs preparing imaginary meals, while others took on the role of firefighters, supermarket workers, or young artists.
These experiences encouraged children to communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and express their creativity. Through pretend play, they explored different roles within a community and developed empathy by seeing the world from different perspectives.
The outing also gave children the opportunity to make choices independently, interact with peers in a new environment, and build confidence through hands-on discovery.
