A moment of cultural sharing
Last Friday, La Petite Ecole Hanoi came alive with laughter, colors, and music to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, known in Vietnam as Trung Thu. A beloved family tradition across the country, this celebration brought together children, teachers, and parents in a joyful moment of cultural discovery!
A day full of discoveries
From the early morning, our kindergarten and nursery were filled with excitement and creativity. Dressed in their beautiful Ao Dai, the children took part in activities inspired by Vietnamese traditions. Between crafting colorful lanterns, experimenting with ink painting, and making the famous moon cakes, every moment became a joyful learning experience. Through these hands-on activities, the children discovered the symbolism behind this festival — a celebration of the moon, family, and togetherness.
A multicultural environment
Beyond the festivities, this day beautifully reflects the educational philosophy of La Petite Ecole Hanoi: offering an education that is both rooted in French excellence and open to the world. By discovering Vietnamese traditions, our francophone and international students learn to value cultural diversity and develop empathy, curiosity, and respect. This intercultural approach — bridging France and Vietnam — is what makes our school community so unique and inspiring.
An engaged community
For our educational community, the Mid-Autumn Festival is more than just a celebration; it’s a moment of connection. Teachers, families, and staff work hand in hand to create a vibrant and caring environment where every child can grow and learn with joy. Thanks to their energy and dedication, this special day was a true success!
At La Petite Ecole Hanoi, we believe that education extends far beyond academics. It is built through shared experiences, traditions, and emotions that help children grow with curiosity, kindness, and a love for the world around them.
